Choose the keyword for an article is not a science, the truth, although there are certain tips that can go well to hit your target audience. In this article, you will learn the method to choose the best SEO keywords.

The first thing you have to understand is what types of keywords there are three different types of search queries

1. Transactional search queries: That help them find the place to make the transaction of exchange (Aka “do” Keywords)

Examples:

  • health insurance quotes
  • buy superman t-shirt
  • family restaurant near me

2. Navigational search queries: The help them find the general information (AKA “Know” keywords)

What Are Buyer Keywords?

A Simple Roadmap:

#1 The first is put yourself in the place of the users who will read and think about what keywords do you think that users could put in google to find what they need? (Who is your reader?)

#2 Make a list of words that you consider important for each product/service/ page or your site. Important things is to clear about what you offer on each page and to differentiate it from your other pages. That is why it is very important to analyze the general ideas of each page and put them in a list.

For Example:

Suppose I have an “Online Shoe Store”, a good keyword, in this case, could be “Buy Online Sports Shoes” that does not have as many searches as “Shoes” but has two advantages:

[a] It is easier to place “Buy Online Sports Shoes” in the first place

[b] It is very likely that a good percentage of people who come to the site using this keyword end up buying.

#3 Identify similar keywords and concepts and their search volume. Choose a two-term main keyword for which you want to position yourself for the long-term.

#4 Complete this main keyword with 3 to 7 secondary keywords from 2 to 3 terms that are all very relevant and semantically close to your main word for which you want to position yourself in the medium term. They correspond to your categories in the blog and the elements of the main navigation.

#5 Optimize each of your posts with keywords from 3 to 5 terms ( long tail strategy) to achieve short-term visibility.

Where Does the Right SEO Strategy Begin?

SEO Strategy Begin

Are you starting in the world of SEO? Welcome! In this post we will clarify the picture and we will explain everything you need to know to implement a strategy that works.

As you know, or maybe you’re finding, along a series of 5 articles I have been introduced in this blog different aspects of the SEO.

And to close the loop, I thought it would be interesting to summarize all of them to give you an overview of how you could start practicing. Keep reading!

Keyword Search

A good choice of Keyword is essential to save your efforts and avoid setting unattainable goals. Therefore, I suggest that the first step is to create a list of Keywords and validate it, trying to figure out which are the ones that can bring qualified visitors.

In the article “How To Do Keyword Research – The Beginners Guide to SEO” Moz explained different methods to help you build your list and see if they can really bring you traffic.

But do not forget that, besides having a reasonable number of searches, these keywords are bringing visitors who really need what you offer.

Keyword Analysis

Once you have your list of relevant keywords and potential qualified traffic, you should analyze its viability. It is trying to figure out which of them would be possible to position your current resources (domain authority, bonds, budget, etc.)

In “The Ultimate Guide to Keyword Competition: Tips from 35 Experts on Competitive Keyword Analysis” You can learn a simple method to begin familiar with the subject. And I take this opportunity to remind you once again that, in my opinion, any analysis you do with various metrics, you use it to compare Keywords together.

Not you stay stuck in the process of calculating different metrics of different services and creating complex spreadsheets. Unless you’re really competitive Keywords behind, you do not need all that.

If, for example, you decide to simply take into account the Authority’s domain, write the metric of the top 10 results of all your keywords and see which of them can be comparatively easier to position.

You can learn more about some metrics like Mobile Device Usage in the article “21 Metrics for Monitoring SEO Health

SEO on Page

The next step is to optimize your SEO on Page for the keywords you’ve chosen position. This is an important step, but no need to complicate too much.

In the “Roadmap to Improve Your SEO” you have everything you need to make a right on Page SEO. Remember that this optimization must be done for each page using the keywords you want to position on each.

Content Marketing & Promotion

Once you have created your content, you do not sit around waiting for your visitors: promote your items. In the same way that you have very little chance of getting a job if not actively looking, users must know the existence of your items in order to access them.

I recommend you spend more time promoting content and understand its value. If it works in your niche, plus visitors also get backlinks.

Read my article on “Blog Marketing Factors to Improve Your Blog Traffic” to know where to start. I hope that after reading it, understand that it is necessary to promote your content and make this action a habit.

Video: Matt Cutts On Why Does a New Page Ranking Change Over Time?

Matt Cutts, head of Google Webspam team, has just released another Webmaster Help Video on youtube explaining that in some case. Search engine has a problem figuring out the original sources of a specific user queries and a video that really helps to explain why this may be happening to your content.

When we create a new landing page with quality content, Google ranks that page on the top 30-50 for targeted keywords. Then why does the rank get decreased for the next 2 to 3 weeks? If pages didn’t have required quality, then why did it get ranked in the first week?

Here’s the video

Conclusion – I am sure that Google is taking the author into account along with the content, back-links, and keywords. My prediction is that good consistent content will continue to be rewarded.

I covered this on Google Webmaster Central Blog on Tuesday and then posted it Google+. Checked with reference to the documents mentioned below…

Just What is SEO, Exactly?

From copyblogger post

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It’s a process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” or “natural” search results generated by search engines.

Google and Bing are the biggest search engines, and they use algorithms to examine the content on a given page in order to decide what that page is about. Then, based upon more than 200 factors, they decide how relevant that page is to certain keywords.

The job of a search engine, like Google, is to find content that matches your query — or, the basic question you’re asking, like:

How far is the earth from the sun?
Who is the lead singer of Led Zeppelin?
What is a freemason?
Those questions contain keywords. The more your content matches those questions, the better the experience for the user. When you make people happy, you make Google happy.

Above all points should be taken into consideration when you start an online business. Through search engine optimization you will able to bring and capture the traffic which increases your sales. Thus SEO these days is considered the best way to get your website ranked and get traffic. by Alok Raghuwanshi
